Introduction
ADD International is a UK based INGO working with people with disability in 5 countries in Africa and
Asia and has existence in Sudan since 1989. ADD International fights for independence, equality and opportunity for people with disabilities living in poverty in Africa and Asia. ADD works as an alley to build an effective disability movement, with and for people with disabilities by building the capacities of their organizations, and influencing governments1 international development actors and the private sector to design policies and services which take into account the needs of disabled people. ADD Sudan is seeking qualified and competent person to fill the following vacancies:
1. Programme Manager مدير برامج
•Monthly Gross salary: SDG 8,000 -10,000 to be paid in USS at the prevailing bank rate
• Reports to: Country Director
• Station: Khartoum with frequent visits to the field
Job purpose:
•To participate in the policy and decision making process by being an active SMT member
• To ensure effective programme delivery
• To add value to the Monitoring  Evolution  and Learning (MEL) by maintaining a functional relationships with the MEL manager  and the International Development team in the UK
Key areas of responsibility.
The role of the programme manager is to develop and manage the delivery of high quality projects ensuring coherence across all projects in line with the country strategy and ADD International global theory of change.
• Support the capacity building of disabled people’s organizations through effective development and implementation of thematic projects (15 % approx.)
• Support learning processes (15 % approx.)
• Participate in Influencing and policy dialogue activities (15 % approx.)
• Programme Development (20 % approx.)
• Staff Management (20 % approx.)
• Resource management (15 % approx.)
Person specification
Essential:
•Degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Community or Development studies, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience
• Commitment to - and an understanding of - the Social Model of disability, the Convention on  the Rights of Persons with disabilities (CRPD), and the rights based approach to development
• Commitment to and understanding of gender sensitivity in programmes and other related issues
• Understanding of capacity building processes and experience in building the capacity of non-governmental partners to influence change
• Familiar with qualitative and quantitative MEL tools and how to use MEL outputs to strengthen programme quality and support policy engagement
•A minimum of five years’ experience in a manager/coordinator role In an International Non-Governmental Organization with duties of project/line management, monitoring and evaluation and resource mobilization
• Proven field experience of designing and delivering training.
• Demonstrated experience of effective and efficient finance and resource management
• Demonstrated experience of engagement and influencing with external stakeholders at all levels
•The ability to work with limited supervision and under stressful situations to meet tight deadlines.
•Excellent documentation and communication skills in both English and Arabic.
•Proven interpersonal and networking skills to build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Ability to take initiative and to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to deliver on shared objectives
Desirable:
•Prior work experience in organizations working with persons with disabilities.
• Relevant Masters or Graduate diploma, for example, ،n Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Planning and Management, Development Communication
• understanding of the Issues facing persons with disabilities in Sudan and/or a lived experience of disability
• Understanding of national and global policy frameworks, standards and human rights instruments
2. Capacity Building Officer ضابط بناء قدرات
•Monthly Gross salary: SDGS, 500 - 6,500 commensurate with experience, to be paid in US$ at the prevailing bank rate.
• Reports to: ADD Sudan Programme Manager
•Station: Khartoum with frequent visits to the field.
Job purpose:
•To support the capacity development of ADD’s partner DPOs (including community based DPOs, State and National Unions, and State Cross Disability Federations).
•to strengthen ADD work in the area of capacity building, both through direct capacity building work with DPOs, and through supporting all ADD team members to strengthen their capacity building skills and contribution.
Key areas of responsibility.
•Support DPO organizational capacity assessment and planning
• Identify OPOs’ organizational capacity building needs and develop shared capacity building plans
• Ensure the delivery of a ‘package’ of capacity building support to each DPO partner
• Based on the CB plans agreed with DPOs, deliver specific CB inputs, and ensure delivery of capacity bu .. g support by all relevant ADD International team members
• Participate in developing programme team activity and contribute to building the capacity of ADD’S teams to be effective capacity builders.
• Support accountability and learning processes in relation to capacity building
• Engage externally by sharing evident learning and good practice on DPO CB with other organizations in the sector, through external meetings and workshops etc. and feed learning into the policy engagement and Influencing work carried by other ADD staff.
• Ensure that the CB element of projects are adequately budgeted for in plans, and that it is spent economically, efficiently and effectively.
Person specification
Essential:
•Degree In Humanities Social Sciences, Community or Development studies, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience

•Knowledge of current best practice in approaches to organizational capacity building
•Proven field experience of designing and delivering training with highly excluded groups at community level.
•A minimum of five years’ practical experience ،n building the organizational capacity of community based civil society organizations
•Familiar with qualitative and quantitative MEL tools, practical experience of monitoring and evaluating capacity building processes, and how to use learning to strengthen programme quality and support engagement with external stakeholders
•Excellent documentation and communication skills in both English and Arabic.
•Proven Interpersonal skills and attributes needed to support learning processes with highly excluded groups/ and networking skills to build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
•Ability to take initiative and to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to  deliver on shared objectives
Desirable:
•Prior work experience in organizations working with persons with disabilities.
•Relevant Masters or Graduate diploma In a subject relevant to capacity building
•Communications skills which support training work with persons with disabilities, e.g. Sign Language, Braille, disability awareness training etc.
•Understanding of the issues facing persons with disabilities n Sudan and/or a lived experience of disability
•Understanding of national and global good practice/ trends ،n capacity building processes.
